The Academy encourages diversity and inclusion by striving to recognize, respect and include differences in ability, age, creed, culture, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, size, and socioeconomic characteristics in the nutrition and dietetics profession.

Illinois Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Diversity Statement

The Illinois Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics aims to amplify the diverse voices of our profession. We support our community members by creating an environment that encompasses individuals from all backgrounds, ages, races, genders, sexual orientations, cultures, experiences, and abilities. We do this by increasing outreach to students to promote our profession, provide support to current dietetic students, strengthen connections between dietetics professionals, and strive to improve the well-being of all the communities we serve. 

EatrightPREP® Program


Are you an IAND student ready to sit for the RD exam? Do you have a unique background and are eager to embark on a journey toward becoming a registered dietitian nutritionist? The Student RD Exam Preparation & Empowerment Scholarship Program aims to support diverse individuals in pursuing excellence in nutrition and dietetics. This scholarship offers funding to cover the eatrightPREP® Examination Preparation Tool registration fees, providing you with the resources and support necessary to excel in your studies and take the RD exam.

NOTE: Students must be in the final months of their dietetic internship and/or have completed their dietetic internship and must commit to taking the Registration Examination for Dietitians within three months of starting the RD student preparation materials, share simulated RD exam score and final RD exam passing status within one month after completing the eatrightPREP® program and complete a program evaluation post participation.
