North Suburban Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

President's Message

Barb Pearl, MS, RDN, LDN

Welcome to North Suburban Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics!

I am very happy to be chosen to be president for 2016-2017 of this creative, intelligent and diversified group of extraordinary nutrition professionals. I am looking forward to a terrific year and welcome all to our group and to our website, Facebook (eatrightNS), Twitter (eatrightNS), and Instagram (eatrightNSAND) sites. Stay tuned for updates in NSAND on all of these sites.

I look forward to our exciting program this year. NSAND offers a total of 14 CEUs. But even more important, the programs offer a variety of topics such as the latest in meal kit delivery and the benefits of locally grown produce to social media updates, GMO’s and organic foods, nutrition and renal disease, circadian rhythm and health, food allergies and the gut, a mindful approach to treating binge eating disorders, and learning more about canning foods.

The nutrition and dietetic world is constantly growing and improving. Be a part of it! NSAND offers a great opportunity to get involved in your professional organization on a local level. You and your career will benefit from being an active member in NSAND. Bring your ideas; we’d love to hear them! We are always evolving and growing. I hope you take advantage of this terrific organization. I look forward to meeting you!

See you soon,

Barb Pearl, MS, RDN, LDN
