Illinois Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

The Illinois Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Illinois Academy, an affiliate of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, is a not-for-profit professional organization of over 3,200 members including registered dietitians, dietetic technicians, and dietetic students. We promote and enhance our profession through various activities and help to improve the lives of Illinois citizens through evidence-based practices.

Our members work in a variety of settings such as:

Licensure, legislation and public policy impacts our jobs, no matter in what setting we work. By attending Advocacy Day, you will learn how to effectively communicate with legislators to educate them about our profession and how we positively impact the health of their constituents – all while earning continuing education credit! By meeting with them, you will also inform them that we are available to be their nutrition experts and gain their support for legislation important to us, and to the health and well-being of Illinois citizens.
