• Is a licensed Dietitian Nutritionist

• must be in good mental and physical condition and be free of communicable disease

Responsibilities: The mission of the Talent and Leadership Effectiveness team is to enable the achievement of Allstate’s key business strategies by advancing and optimizing learning and talent management solutions. An exciting priority is the start-up of a comprehensive approach to improve energy management and personal/professional effectiveness of all leaders and employees through improved nutrition, fitness, and understanding of personal mission or purpose. This program involves a flagship education course called “Energy for Life” as well as other sustaining mechanisms that contribute to creating a culture of health and wellbeing at Allstate.

Key Accountabilities:
1. Facilitation of the day-and-a-half Energy for Life workshop which involves frequent travel to field locations. (This is the primary responsibility of this position).
2. Frequent partnership and collaboration with other Performance Coaches in preparation and delivery of workshops.
3. Assisting the Lead Nutrition and Movement Performance Coach on projects and initiatives that may include:
• Contributing to organizational efforts to educate employees on the impact of nutrition on energy, ability to think clearly, metabolism and performance
• Collaborating with others or leading projects: e.g. collaborating with a third party vendor to improve nutritional offerings, designing and delivering webinars, writing articles, creating & sharing ideas for increasing recovery and movement in the workplace.
• Providing thought leadership to team and clients on nutrition and movement best practices and benchmarks.
• Furthering departmental knowledge and company knowledge through research, internal/external benchmarking, participation in professional associations, etc.

This position will be based out of Northbrook, IL and will require 50+% national travel.
Qualifications: Successful Candidate profile:

• Bachelors degree in nutrition, dietetics, kinesiology, exercise science or related field; Masters degree preferred
• Approximately 3+ years directly related professional experience, with subject matter expertise in nutrition, overall wellness/health/well being, fitness and performance, etc.
• Experience in a complex corporate or business setting strongly preferred; prior experience in a structured environment, yet decentralized organizational model extremely helpful
• Prior facilitation experience with all organizational levels, and/or classroom training experience
• Proven consultation and coaching skills
• Strong interpersonal and partnership skills in order to work with individuals from all backgrounds and organizational levels
• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• Solid organizational skills-- ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deliverables and expectations, while working independently
• Willing and able to travel over 50% as needed within the U.S.
• Any of the following professional certifications/licensures preferred:

• Registered Dietitian (RD) and/or Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD)
• Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN)
• National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) or Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS)
• National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer
• American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Group Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, Health Fitness Instructor
• American Council on Exercise (ACE) Certified Personal Trainer and/or Group Fitness Instructor
